I think these are all EXCELLENT tips to prevent ID theft. They only work if you utilize them! Bravo to each author for caring enough to provide this information. Never let your guard down. I have been the victim of ID theft not once, but twice. If you want to protect your money, your credit cards, as well as your credit itself, I highly suggest NOT using PayPal. 90% of their employees work at home and they have no quality control. These people also have full access to ALL of your information. This also gives them the ability to use it for their own purchases. They tried making a $500 withdrawal from my bank account several months ago, as well as helped themselves to using a credit card for my business. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you, too. Visit www.paypalsucks.com to see how other individuals have been affected by PayPal. When using eBay, find another payment source. I only wish someone had warned me about PayPal sooner. They are not to be trusted.

Here's another tip. Buy a shredder and shred all of those credit card offers you get in the mail. Don't just throw them away.
