Yeah I only have to think about how they got that statistic for a little while to see that it's absolute BS.

A great majority of people who carry guns I imagine are involved in gangs or live in a place where it's very common to get shot. And anyone who commits a crime with a gun is likely to get shot by a cop. What about the people who don't carry guns? They probably live in relatively safe areas, with safe lifestyles. And I'm sure there are a lot more good neighborhoods than bad neighborhoods. Of course, statistically, people who have guns are already under more risk than people who don't.

“We think this is an alarming subject,” Stern said. “Although you’ll read players saying how they feel safer with guns, in fact those guns actually make them less safe.”

The commissioner argued that carrying a gun dramatically increases “your chances of being shot by one.”

That is such BS. There are three kinds of people in this world, victims, future victims, and gun owners. Athletes are celebreties and have to deal with all sorts of nutjobs, and in addition they have the same 2nd amendment rights as everyone else.
